Health Hazard Evaluation
Do you feel that your home or workplace may be making you
sick? Mold may be the culprit, but
there are several other indoor pollutants that can cause allergy, cold or
flu-like symptoms.
ESG’s Health Hazard Evaluation involves a thorough
inspection of your home or office to identify sources of airborne irritants,
including mold, dirty HVAC equipment, furnishings, pet dander, insect parts,
fragrances and household cleaners.
Designed to provide the client with information about illness-causing
indoor hazards, the HHE involves collection of extensive air quality readings
and recording levels of different airborne constituents that can cause health
symptoms. We then compare the levels found to those recommended by professional
or government organizations and medical practitioners. We also compare the
readings to those recorded at other properties like yours.
What does ESG measure
at a Health Hazard Evaluation? Total VOCs, CO, CO2, ambient temperature and
relative humidity, and airborne respirable particles. These are the items most likely to cause
discomfort and are the most common sources of airborne irritation in a
building. ESG logs all of the data in a handheld device and provides you with
this data in a color-coded chart so you have a permanent record of our
findings.
An optional HHE Report provides you with a high quality
record and analysis of findings to include recommendations for improvement. The
HHE Report is useful when others need to be aware of ESG’s findings.
