Meet the ESG Staff

Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) provides residential and commercial clients with comprehensive indoor and outdoor environmental assessment and testing services. Our experienced team specializes in 1) assessment of buildings and developing remedial plans for hazard control and removal; 2) providing third-party verification for ENERGY STAR Homes, Green Building, LEED IEQ, and Indoor Air Quality commissioning; 3) energy performance analysis of residential and commercial buildings.

ESG's Environmental Division uses state of the art equipment and highly developed skills in building science to investigate for asbestos, carbon dioxide, formaldehyde and other gases, lead, bacteria, odors, industrial/chemical contaminants, mold and VOCs. We help businesses mitigate risk through preventive IAQ Management, infectious disease control and disaster preparedness.

ESG's Energy Division helps homes and businesses cut costs, reduce their carbon footprint and increase social responsibility through our Performance Building services, which includes ENERGY STAR ratings for new construction, third-party verification for green buildings, energy performance analysis and Indoor Air Quality commissioning for new construction.

ESG follows the guidelines established by various government and professional organizations and is a corporate member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC), Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Environmental Assessment Association (EAA), National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and Greensboro Housing Coalition. Our fully licensed and insured staff hold EPA and OSHA HAZWOPR certifications including soil and water assessment for hazardous waste. ESG holds Lead Firm Certification from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, is certified under the EPA's ENERGY STAR Homes, Building Performance Institute (BPI) and NAHB Green Build programs, and has NC Certified Asbestos and Lead Inspectors and a NEHA Healthy Homes Specialist on staff.

ESG was named and ranked 37 among North Carolina's Top 100 Small Businesses by Business Leader Magazine in June 2010. The Triad Business Journal's Book of Lists has recognized ESG as one of the top environmental firms in the Triad in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009. ESG was awarded with a Leadership in Housing Award in 2010 by the EPA and was a North American Sustainable Enterprise Awards Finalist in 2010.
